Our employees, vendors, and operated joint ventures employees, are guided by these principles. We implore vendors and partners in joint ventures that we do not operate to be guided by comparable principles.
This provides the ethical guard-rail for every employee and vendor who works for Schlau Energy. The code of conduct defines behaviours of our employees and how they relate to our Business Principles and Core Values.
We created the Ethics and Compliance Guide to build on our General Business Principles and Code of Conduct. It was created to provide realistic guidance on how to comply with laws and regulations and how to relate to customers, host communities and colleagues.
Our General Business Principles and Group Code of Conduct mandate us to collaborate with vendors and suppliers who contribute to sustainable development and are economically, environmentally and socially responsible.
This commitment and policy is designed to help protect people and the environment. Every Schlau business, vendor and joint ventures we operate must manage HSSE and SP in line with the commitment and policy.
Schlau is committed to human rights as set out in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the International Labour Organization core conventions. Our approach to implementing our responsibility is informed by the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights.
Schlau will continue to purchase biofuels for blending into fuel. We are guided by sustainability standards to help ensure that our biofuels come from sustainable sources.
Schlau employees have direct and indirect interactions with governments, regulators, legislators and other political stakeholders. These interactions range from the practical requirements of obtaining new permits for our business in line with regulations, to broad public policy discussions in forums, meetings and workshops.
