United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights

The UNGP consists of 31 principles implementing the United Nations' "Protect, Respect and Remedy" framework on the issue of human rights and transnational corporations and other business enterprises.

UN Sustainable Development Goals

The UN Sustainable Development Goals seek to tackle the world's biggest challenges. At Schlau, we appreciate the SDGs and seek to play our part in helping stakeholders to achieve these goals.

UN Global Compact

By adhering to the ten principles that cover human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption the UNGC supports companies to do business responsibly. UNGC encourages organizations to partake in progressing wider societal goals with an emphasis on collaboration and innovation. It basically supports the advancement of similar goals as those defined in the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises

OECD Guidelines outline responsible business conduct for the multinationals that operate in the OECD member states. Collectively, they account for 85% of foreign direct investment.

International Labour Organization (ILO) Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work

The declaration was adopted in 1998, the ILO Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work is an expression of commitment by governments, employers' and workers' organizations to uphold basic human values at all times.

Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI) Statement of Principles and Agreed Actions

The Statement of Principles and Agreed Actions seeks to enhance the transparency of payments made by business to governments and government-related entities. It also seeks increase in the transparency of revenues by those host-country governments.

Transparency International Business Principles on Countering Bribery (2002)

TIBPCB supports initiatives such as the OECD Convention on Combating Bribery of Foreign Public Officials in International Business Transactions, the ICC Rules of Conduct to Combat Extortion and Bribery, and the anti-bribery provisions of the revised OECD Guidelines for Multinationals. It also serves as the practical reference for organizations to develop their respective anti bribery policies and systems.

Schlau Energy will continue to support the Alliance to End Plastic Waste, a group of global companies from the plastics and consumer goods value chain committed to advancing solutions to eliminate plastic waste in the environment, especially in the ocean.

Schlau Energy supports the MGPs focus on reducing methane emissions along the natural gas value chain, from production to the final consumer as jointly signed by several energy companies globally.
