Schlau Energy's business interests exist in different commercial structures such as sole risk, joint ventures, farm-in arrangements, production sharing contracts and service contracts with national and international energy companies that come on board with important skills and experience.
For business interests that are not operated by Schlau Energy, we do not have direct control over how these businesses embed sustainability in their operations. However, we seek to offer our support and exert a positive influence on their operations.
When entering a non- operated joint venture, we require our partners to agree and adopt at least one policy on sustainability, equivalent to our own.
When entering a joint venture operated by a partner, we expect them to apply standards and processes, or principles, that are materially equivalent to what we apply.
Partners are also expected to put in place standards to adequately address all risks. We periodically evaluate the health, safety, environmental and community risks of our joint ventures.
If a joint venture is falling below expectations, plans are put in place, in agreement with the other participants, to improve performance.
