Human Rights

Respect for human rights is central to our core values. We aspire to make a positive impact on society. We are guided by the United Nation Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights.

Host Community engagement

Schlau Energy’s commitment to human rights is pertinent to all employees and contractors. Human rights preservation is enshrined in our existing framework and process, such as our Code of Conduct, Business Principles and our Health, Safety, Security, Environment and Social Performance (HSSE&SP) Framework.

Our vendor's contracting terms include specific labour and human rights expectations for vendors and suppliers. We are guided by a set of commitments, policies and standards that define how we conduct business in socially and environmentally responsible manners.

What we are doing

At Schlau, our effort is on four key areas, where human rights are critical to the way we operate and where we have identified the risks are highest for potential impact on human rights: labour rights, communities, workers in our supply chain and security.

Staff welfare

We value our workers and care for them, as reflected in our core values and approach to safety. When employees feel cared for, they perform at their best. Schlau Energy respects and promotes the rights and welfare of her employees at all times.

Schlau Energy's approach to human rights and commitment to employees welfare is an essential part of how we operate and is informed by the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights. We are committed to respecting human rights as set out in the United Nation Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the International Labour Organization's Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work. As an organization, we have set clear standards for labour rights, living and working conditions for our employees and contractors. Schlau Energy aligns with the industry coalition Building Responsibly.
